In Texas you might drive your fully-loaded Hummer to the Super Wal-Mart on this:
Whereas in Ithaca you are more likely to see this on the Hybrid in front of you on your way to the local farmer's market:

But I digress. This is not a political post.
It's about personal hygiene.
Ithaca left its mark on me in many ways, one of them being that I like to pay more for products with labels such as "organic," "local," "natural," & "phalate free" - or for food without labels (i.e., fresh produce). However, my wonderful husband is not fully on board with my purchasing habits. The day after I spent the equivalent of what someone in a 3rd world country may earn in a month on the "99.9% natural" Burt's Bees bodywash you see below,
The White Rain Ocean Mist showed up next to it.Proof positive that Josh is fully enjoying all that the 3 Super Wal-Marts within reasonable walking distance of our house have to offer in the way of cheap goods. Josh, unlike me, will never understand the appeal of an "organic" label. I think he just sees the price tags.
Which is fine. After all, opposites attract, right?
