I am not a betting man but...

I should no better than bet. I have been to Vegas and seen what those who bet have built. Inside the desert community is Rome, New York, Paris, Venis, and even a Pirate Ship!! Even in my childhood I remember betting my brother that the Ranger's outfielder's name was Obie McDowell. (Could you blame me? I played with Star Wars toys, Obie sounds like a real person's name).

So when the current Texas Rangers made the World Series, I got into it. I even went to Game 6 of the ALCS (Thanks Mark Slavens and Paul) where the Rangers beat the Evil Galacitic Empire of the Yankees. Where Darth Arod struck out to end the game.

I got an email from Rob Willey, yes the same one who grew up on Meier Ct. in Singing Woods. He at Berkeley and offered me a simple bet. If the Rangers won the World Series he would wear a Rangers shirt to class. But if the Giants won, I would wear a Giants shirt to class.

So who won? (If you don't know you should be ashamed of yourself) Let the picture speak for itself.

p.s. his name is odibe mcdowell.
