Building Blocks Halloween

Here are some pictures of McKay at his preschool ("Building Blocks") party last week. All the kids dressed up for the school's annual indoor/outdoor costume parade, and McKay wanted to be, of course, a car. He was very mad (see picture #4) that I bought him a Lightning McQueen pit crew costume because he wanted to be a yellow "Hot Wheels Battleforce 5" car named "Zoom". He ended up settling for the "Zoom"/Lightning McQueen medley you see before you.

By the way, notice in the parade pics that there is NO SNOW. I knew the time would come for me to rub it in, my dear Ithaca friends. We are all still wearing t-shirts and shorts and there is no end in sight to the beautiful weather. Don't worry; you will have your revenge come August when I hibernate in my house for a full month.

Anyway, McKay had a great time at his school party. His super-nice teacher Mrs. Walters, who describes him as "a little hyper sometimes" & who once told me she was concerned because "McKay seems to be doing the opposite of what I ask him" (hmmm... really? Funny, that never happens when he's with me... ha ha ha), was way cute in a Cat in the Hat costume that the kids absolutely loved. McKay even won the Bingo game. He is very competitive and so we had to hear about that all day long.

Oh, don't you worry. Those ice storms will rear their ugly heads, come January.
