Mommy Accountability

Well, today is the last day of NaBloPoMo. After today, I am no longer obligated to update my blog daily (although, I must say, I've had so much fun doing it that I may just continue).

I started out the month with an update on the milestones each of my children were working on. In an effort to be more accountable for what I do all day as a mother, I will give you a report on the progress we've made on each of their goals.

1. McKay hasn't really made any progress in learning how to read. I guess I need to buy that "Your Baby Can Read!" program I keep seeing the infomercials for. Then Spencer & McKay could learn together.
2. Or we can just let Spencer eat his own shoes while playing within choking distance of tiny little puzzle pieces.
Laugh at my neglect if you must....
But he has totally achieved his goal this month: he can sit up on his own!

And Matthew... well,
he has pooped in his pants and/or on the floor every day this month.
Sometimes multiple times in one day. Often multiple times in one day.
But he is peeing on his own & doing a great job at it.

Once in awhile, McKay is taking his sweet time using the boys' toilet, and of course when given a choice between using my bathroom or "the wild," Matthew always chooses the wild (i.e., our backyard).
