Boy or Girl?

I told Josh I can think of a million things I should be doing instead of creating this post, but he assured me that this was a completely appropriate use of my time, so here goes.
Matthew and McKay are completely obsessed with Lego Star Wars (not my fault; somebody bought them a Lego Star Wars video game and then another Lego Star Wars video game when the 1st video game broke from overuse). They have a few of these little lego mini figurines that are at 1 inch tall the most coveted toys in the house. They are for boys what a Polly Pocket or Barbie doll is for little girls.
I don't know who designs these things, but it is certainly not the person responsible for the Polly Pocket/Barbie female equivalents. I am coming to appreciate the fact that I can always tell a Ken apart from a Barbie, even if Ken is a little - well, on the fashion-conscious side.
I don't know if this is Lego's statement on gender neutrality or just that it's more difficult to fit feminine curves onto a very square piece of plastic or what, but seriously, I am struggling to distinguish boy action figures from girl action figures these days. Here are a few examples. Please tell me it's not just me being confused here...

BOY or GIRL??

A boy! This is none other than Luke Skywalker. His long, silky blonde locks and a tunic reminiscent of most of my maternity tops paired with those flesh-colored leggings and that perfect eyebrow tweezing fooled me.

BOY or GIRL??

You guessed it! A girl! This is Luminara Unduli, a fearless Jedi Master. Now, granted she's from another planet, but really - does she need to have a goatee?? I argued with McKay for the better part of an afternoon over this one. He swore it was a girl and I totally didn't believe him.

BOY or GIRL??
My personal favorite ... a GIRL! This is Mon Mothma, the clever Senator.
Where - what - why - huh?? I just don't get it!

To all who read this post, you will have to excuse Kelli. She is not trained in the force. And let's be honest, she probably would have voted for Palpatine over Bail Organa of Alderan.

I got every single one of those wrong.
