We also do the open up a gift on Christmas eve, which traditions from our fathers stipulate that the gift must be pajamas. I have heard of this from multiple mormon families, so is this a mormon tradition or are there others that do this too. The boys were so excited for their pajamas, and we were able to get them to both look at the camera for a photo. Spencer was already in bed, so he opened his in the middle of the night when he got a snack to eat.
It turns out, that McKay was posing nicely for the picture because he was torturing his brother. I believe it was the pinch that caused this reaction.
We also started a new tradition, where we get a new christmas themed book. One of Josh's favorites is the book "Three Trees." It was getting late, so Matthew was more interested in playing with a nativity set, but McKay enjoyed the story.
We then, put the kids to bed, and prepped for the arrival of Santa. After getting ready, we plopped down on the couch. Kelli was ready an awesome book, "Matched" by Ally Condie. This is a very good book, and we encourage you to buy it and read it. Or just ask us, we will let you borrow our copy as long as you don't dog ear it. As Kelli read, Josh turned on the TV. We get a few channels with our rabbit ears, but most channels were showing religious services for Christmas. So Josh turned to Qubo, and was blessed with another Christmas present. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Reminiscing about my own childhood, i remember man-at-arms was a pretty cool action figure. And then i remembered matthew, he reminded me of man-at-arms.
