Bull Riding

For New Years, we spent the day in Cow Town - aka Fort Worth. We went to the Stockyards and saw the legendary cattle crossing downtown, ate on the patio at Joe T. Garcias (with only light jackets because yup, it was about 70 degrees), and of course rode the mechanical bull. Here are the highlights of Matthew and McKay's first experience as bullriders.

There was a guy controlling the bull and he had obviously been specially trained in sensing level of fear because Matthew's ride was so slow and easy and as soon as McKay got on, that bull went crazy. As you can tell, McKay liked it that way. You'd never believe it from the somber look on his face, but Matthew was actually the one who was begging me to ride it.

I am so behind on blogging, so a few comments from recent posts...:)I, too, read the book Matched! But I guess that is not such a huge coincidence since the author was from Ithaca, right? Did you know her? And my kids all got pillow pets this summer too! they still love them and sleep with them every night. And loved the geo tracks for Christmas. I remember how much McKay always loved to play with ours when we all lived by each other, *sigh*. Miss you guys.:)
