Soccer Season

Matthew has always been our athlete who absolutely loves sports. He really likes all sports; he sleeps with his baseball bat, was a football player for halloween, has two basketball hoops, and has a wolf ball to play soccer with. But unfortunately for him, he is not signed up for little league soccer.
This is for McKay. He starts soccer this week, which means that we had to hit up the local sporting goods store to buy some cleats and shin-guards. He was so excited to get a pare of cleats, the ones with a gold dragon, that he wore them in the store and began racing everywhere that he went (Kelli never would have allowed this type of unsupervised behavior at the store).

We then hit up the backyard (or the 40 sq ft patch that is behind our house) to practice our soccer skillz. I showed McKay a video of Cristiano Renaldo, and he was totally inspired. His moves were awesome.

Turns out that our boy who has said he does not like sports at all, might like soccer (some may argue it kind of is a wimpy man's sport, but i take what i can get). His first practice is Friday and we are totally stoked, and when i say we i mean josh and McKay. Kelli is pretty excited too, but mostly because she will get a break from McKay and maybe this will break his Star Wars obsession.
