Getting ready for Santa

We are doing our best to prepare for Christmas. Part of the prep is to get a fire started in the chimney to teach people climbing through our chimney a lesson (think big bad wolf).

Having never used our fireplace since moving in, we started it up. Turns out there is an order to lighting a gas fireplace. 1. Light match 2. Then turn on gas. I did not know of these steps. I did the reverse order and BOOM! Here is the result (works better than Nair).

But now we know better and the kids are loving the fire.
