How to change a tire

Upon coming home, McKay pointed out that the front passenger tire was flat. I thought i would take this time to have a father-son moment in how to change a tire...and it turned into a true father-son moment.
I showed mckay where the spare tire was, where the jack goes, and how to jack it up. We got the car up and then started to take off the lug nuts. Right was I was about to take off the tire, the jack got jacked up.
The picture below shows the jack on the left, notice how it is bent, that is not good. So i borrowed a jack from a neighbor, and tried to lift the car with another jack. This proved unsuccesful as the car fell of the jack and onto the tire, which was not all the way on.

This is when the true father-son moment began,
McKay: "Daddy is the car suppose to do that?"
Me:: :Get inside McKay!!!!"
Kelli then comes home, and i greet her with a "Get the kids inside!!! I just jacked up the car!!!

I had no idea what to do, so i called a tow truck company. Of the three companies I called, none had a truck with a jack on it. So being up a creek without a paddle, I called my hometeachers.

Sure enough, they showed up. After chalking the back tires, he quickly lifted the car with a 2 ton jack, removed the scraps of jacks currently under the car, and then changed the tire.

The lessons learned here:
1. don't change a tire on an incline.
2. Chalk the tires so that the car does not roll off the jacks.
3. Look back on father-son moments with humor, but don't use humor during them
4. Do your hometeaching.
