Oktoberfest...infant style

With October now upon us, we adventured northward to Flower Mound (where real Texans live, i.e. ranches, belt buckles, hats, boots) to visit a popular pumpkin patch. It was free to enter, tractor ride free, bounce houses free, but pumpkins were dang expensive. (Interestingly enough, the farm next door charges you to go in but pumpkins are cheaper. The free entry one was packed. I should ask them for their sales data, this sounds like a study)

The tractor took you around the farm, where many different displays were set up to feature popular kids cartoons. Of course, we all know which was our favorite, or in other words, McKay and Matthew's favorite. (For you lawyers, is this a copyright violation?)

The boys are getting bigger, unfortunately, Spencer was not willing (or able) to stand up for this picture.
McKay has a mean streak some times, and he gets this look. This is the look. I think this has something to do with McKay listening to his mom's rock n'roll music. Smashin' Pumpkins is more than just a band for him, it is a fun thing to do (especially when you have not purchased it yet)

Here are the Klinglers. We met them in Ithaca, and they convinced us to move to Texas, or at least the neighborhood that we are in. They have been kind enough to introduce us to Texas experiences with baby steps. We will be full fledged Texans once we go to the stockyards in fort worth and buy some wranglers. Jayne also introduced us to Groupon, which is kind of cool. I am just waiting for some Cowboy tickets to pop up.

At the farm, there was an obstacle course bouncy house. They set it up so that two kids would race eachother. (Kind of like when Joey tried to race Josh and Jumpin Jacks in Springville) McKay is the competitor, and began to smoke all the competition. He was so proud, he would race back to the beginning and tell the starter guy that he has won. I was proud when no only did he beat the little kid that he was racing, but he caught up to and passed the two boys racing infront of him.

Matthew was having fun too, the competition didn't drive him as much, but he held his own.

Fun outing. But I don't think it is a true fall outing if you can wear shorts!
