Spencer Reid Price

So here is how it went down, according to Josh (Kelli's version will be posted shortly)

4:12 am Seriously Kelli just 5 more minutes. The contractions were not at frequent intervals, but they were very intense. After listening to music and attempts to concentrate, Kelli decided that it was a good idea to go to the hospital.

4:41 we called Darrell Sonntag who so graciously came over to sleep on our couch.

4:48 we left our apartment and began the drive to the hospital. Kelli was looking for some conversation but at that hour my comments are off the wall and unfocused, so i chose silence instead.

5:05 we arrived at the hospital. First question that was asked by the receptionist, "Are you in labor?" My response, "I am not...but she is." Kelli had ear phones on and was listening to music, and could not hear. Which also meant when she said something it was in a voice much louder than the requested inside voice (just a preview of what life will be like with her when she is old, pushing her around the hospital in a wheelchair while she yells instead of speaks)

5:15 we set up in room 312, which has a great view of the west hillls and the sunrise. Kelli requests an anestheseologist, but the Dr. says that Kelli was fully dialated and there was not enough time. (Kelli's response is not postable since this is a family blog). So just like McKay, she was going with the natural birth.

5:25 Dr breaks Kelli's water

5:46 after only a couple of pushes, Spencer arrived and was cuddled on Kelli wrapped in a blanket. No crying, just a rosy red, long nailed, Josh look-a-like.

I am so proud of Kelli, she was so brave and did a wonderful job.
