Where should we live?

We are looking for a some temporary housing in Texas for this next year, and we need your help. Since we have gone from Buffalo St. in Ithaca, to a sorority, to Winston Ct we have are on a roll and want to get a better place (I know better than Winston ct, how?). So help us out to choose a place to live:

(1) Woodland Springs: newer home, 4 bdrms, more than 800 sq ft, near lake in which at least one person was fishing, and 32 minute drive to Arlington

(2) The Oaks in Euless: Huge apartment complex, 3 pools with this being the best, nice looking apartments in the front, but wymount looking apartments in the back, dog park, full court basektball, fitness center, and great view of watertower (McKay was excited), 23 minutes to Arlington

(3) Lincoln Vineyards: In Colleyville Ward (the up and coming ward in the stake), next to elem, middle, and high school, can peak through fence and watch football practice, 3 bdrms, pool, papa murphys pizza right in front, 21 minutes to arlington

(4) Old Town Keller: green grass, good sized yard, 3 bdrms, in Keller 2nd ward (JV ward of the stake), cool looking inside, 33 minutes to Arlington

(5) Heritage (Keller): 3 bdrm with office, leather couch set that looks ugly but is very bouncy, small yard, small home surrounded by much bigger homes, near neighborhood with pool (pool hopping), Heritage Ward, 31 minutes to Arlington, Mormon softball team in a Church softball league

I vote #3 or #4 and since my opinion matters so much, I fully expect you to move into one of those.

Kelli - pick the place that you would enjoy the most. Don't bother asking Josh his opinion. You'll be the one that's at your home the most so it should be whatever you like the best.

I grew up in Dallas, and I would choose Colleyville or Keller. Both are great!

If I were you, I'd definately go with a house and NOT an apartment! You'll want a yard. And you won't have to deal with downstairs neighbors complaining when your kids run around (oh, let me tell you, the horrors). It may be cheaper and less of a commute to go the apartment route . . . but I think you'll end up wanting to move badly before the year is up to a home. Then again, if you reeeeally need to save so you can actually BUY a house at the end of the first year, and an apartment is CONSIDERABLY cheaper . . . then maybe an apartment is just the best option. Anyway, that's my opinion. :D Dave would say that commute is the biggest issue, but if you're moving again at the end of the year, by then you'll know what kind of commute Josh is willing to make and where you'll want to buy.

I for one, would go for a house with an attached garage, and laundry room. Then again I am not in the most objective state of mind since I went grocery shopping and did laundry today, all of which required me to be out in the rain multiple times. I can't count how many times I wished I had my own laundy and garage again.:) But we will sure miss you guys.

Go for #4. Angella says it's a good neighborhood. I think the house looks nice from the outside & you said the inside looks cool. A yard is the best. I love opening the screen door and shooing the kids outside. A patio is super nice for the kids to ride their bikes. You NEED a yard! NEED A YARD!

They all seem like great choices. Can't wait to hear what you do decide!

They all look great! The only thing I would say, having lived in Dallas, is check which roads you would have to use to get to Arlington because when Google maps says one time it is very deceiving since the traffic in Dallas metro area is intense it may actually be a longer commute than you think. See if there are some alternate routes or back roads to alleviate having to get on the interstate routes. This is so exciting to have so many fun choice and have this great adventure ahead of you!

I would definatly go with old town keller or Heritage. both places are great and it's awesome to have a house with a yard you can't beat that, Especially with soon to be three little boys running around!
