I can't believe we haven't done a post about this yet because this is HUGE news! We are moving to Texas this August. Josh is going to graduate in May (probably the same week our new baby is born) with his PhD in Policy Analysis and Management and he has accepted a job offer from the University of Texas at Arlington. He will be working as as Economics professor and teaching Sports Economics classes (which he couldn't be more excited about, trust me).
So where is Arlington, you ask? I have no clue. I have never been to Texas. But this is what Wikipedia tells me:
So where is Arlington, you ask? I have no clue. I have never been to Texas. But this is what Wikipedia tells me:
Arlington is a city in Tarrant County, Texas (USA) within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. According to the 2007 census estimate, the city had an estimated population of 374,417, making it the third largest municipality in the Metroplex. Arlington is the seventh-largest city in Texas and the 50th largest city in the United States.[3]
Located approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles (32 km) west of downtown Dallas, Arlington is home to the Texas Rangers' Ballpark in Arlington and the theme parks Six Flags Over Texas, which is the original Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor and the newly completed Cowboys Stadium. The city borders Kennedale, Grand Prairie, Mansfield and Fort Worth, and surrounds the smaller communities of Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego.

I've been to Arlington tons of times, you'll love it. My aunt, uncle and two cousins live there. It's a little bigger than Ithaca, but it has good schools. Let me know if you need any advice on places to live, I can get you in touch with my cousins. Housing prices are awesome too!
