Disneyland

For those of you who don't have a cousin named Megan, you need to get one. Our cousin hooked us up with a great time at Disneyland. Mike and Katie also planned their trip accordingly so that they could come with us too.

This is just preparation, even though it is not sunny, you can still get sunburned (i.e. the day before while at the beach).

Megan getting McKay ready

Mike actually went through a whole body of sun block by himself. If you know him, this is not shocking.

Matthew all ready to go, unsure what is about to hit him. But he does have his autograph book ready.
Indiana Jones was the first ride of choice, Mike and Katie chillin in the caves.
and yes, even a picture of Kelli and Josh.
It was so scary inside the cave (aka the line to the Indiana Jones ride)
All set to go, we even got the front seat. Don't worry Josh was driving, which means passengers are safe, but curbs and train tracks are not.
Megan with Katie and Mike waiting for Space Mountain. (on a side note, Katie was able to go in the handicapp accessible part of this ride)
Getting ready to go Screamin'. This was one of the best rides, and the picture of us on the ride is on our fridge (p.s. $45 dollars for a wallet size photo, or so it seemed)
Brothers just being brothers. It came out cute, but i don't think those were McKay's original intentions for the embrace.
We ate at the Blue Bayou, a tradition for Kelli and Josh. It is such a great atmosphere.
McKay nor Matthew appreciated the atmosphere, but the other patrons were quite excited when both kids fell asleep.
And so they spent a good portion of the day asleep. This was a good thing for us.
This was McKay's favorite part of the day. Playhouse Disney on Stage. It was such a riot to see him get so excited.
As every Disneyland trip should be, we met the characters of Disney (not that any of these guys are still on TV or even that my kids know who they are)
So maybe he knows this one.
Goofy was standing here, trying not to move. A lot of people thought he was a statue or something. McKay wasn't fooled, he just wanted to join the party.
Matthew did not like Sully too much, and interesting enough Sully does not do autographs (kind of Randall of him) and is rarely out to meet since it requires a really tall person to be in the costume.
The only reason for the trip to Disneyland was for McKay to meet Lightning McQueen, but unknown to us, they are not out on Wednesdays. Nor is there a Pixar Car parade. We tried to rectify the situation by showing him the signs of Radiator Springs and Route 66. Megan also helped by buying him a lighting mcqueen toy.
Here we are on the Tower of Terror, good right, but takes the picture before your drop. Which means no one is scared except for the hosers who have been on the ride before. Kind of like the nob with the red shirt. The princess girl is not faking, she really is scared. Ken is sitting next to me, he is Megan's boyfriend.
To end the day we got off our feet and watched the fireworks. It was a great ending and the boys and parents were all worn out thoroughly.
It was a great time, and we have to thank Megan and Ken for making it happen.

No way! We just got back from spending this whole week at Disneyland!! It was great! It was our first time ever (mine and the girls). I'll blog all about it, but it looks like you guys had just as much fun as we did. :) Bummer we couldn't have planned better! We could have been there the same week. That would have been insane.
