California here we come (Dinoco here we come)

Just like Mac, McKay and Matthew dozed off. I though it would have been funny to leave them in Barstow, which ironically is right on route 66. But as much as my kids like that movie, I don't know if they would have liked to live it for themselves.
We did arrive at Birch and Sandy's just in time for Aunt Marguerite's 28th birthday. Many of the family came and it was so great hanging out and talking. Megan brought a cake and McKay worked with Birch to light the cake. (On a side note: visiting uncle shawn is visually the same as visiting my dad. They are identical with their no mustache and glasses. Birch was a visual breath of fresh air).
After cake and ice cream (and a lot of frosting) we turned McKay loose to entertain the crowd. He did a great job, then we gave him the camera. He took some good pictures, but most were not so visable. Here are some...

Cousin Megan, Grandma, and Aunt Marguerite. Three of the funnies nicest ladies you will find.

Birch chillin by his barbeque (or manque because there ain't nothing girly or barby about it) If you look between megan and grandma, that's Ken. Hi Ken.
This picture is the one that didn't turn out too well. It was suppose to be of Marguerite, but then Dave got in the way. (Sorry Dave, that was too easy) It's great to have an uncle to talk sports to, and he gives the best wedding present, baseball bag.
Birch and Sandy have a sweet house in Rancho Cucamonga. The kids loved playing with the dogs, once they got over the fear. And upstairs is a harlem globetrotter pinball machine. Thank you again Birch and Sandy for your hospitality.
