Intramural Champions

We played in the regional tourament, and we were too much for that. We brought in some ringers to play with us since so many guys were out of town. Our new and improved team was great and we were a fifth seed after three games (I only played in one of them). Our third game was the most competitive that we played in so far, but with adam's big pick in the last minutes and our jaugernat of an offense we beat them. Our next, and what turned out to be our last was tough. The team wasn't that good, but a couple of bad plays on offense, and a weak defense made it a close game. With two minutes left they were first and goal at the ten and we were up by two. Our defense came up huge, and after scott almost got his second pick of the day, he played monster D and broke up the fourth and goal pass. After that I thought i would have some fun so I tryed Gerret's ballet moves and they worked. We scored with one second left to put the game away. Unfortanetely the rest of the tournament is played on sunday so we gracefully declined the victory. This was the year for a great team, I guess we will never know how good we were. My hunch is that we would be playing in Texas come January in the national tournament.

Tonight was the championship game for the intramural football tournament. At 10:30pm LDSSA took the field at Schoekopf Stadium. We started slow, but once we got rolling we were unstopable. When the final whistle blew the score was 25-0. So for the second time in three years we take home the laundry. Great job to Gerret, Nate, Todd, Scott, Chad, Gary, Ryan, Adam and Jeremy.
