Ain't no party like a Scranton party!

To celebrate our passion for the office we decided that a trip down south to Scranton PA was in order. So we packed in a car with our friends, the Montgomery's and Carlos', and headed south. Upon arriving in Scranton, the trip looked bleak. The rains were pouring down and the town isn't one to make you do cartwheels. But we were in luck, it just so happened that this weekend was the Office Convention, which consisted of a party downtown and appearances by cast members. We arrived around noon and decided to have lunch at Farley's. I treated myself to a Michael Scott Burger, and yeppers, it was good.

Next, we headed up the street and the rains stopped and we enjoyed the fresh air that only Scranton can bring. As we got to the top of the hill there was a large tent with a lot of people. So we decided to check it out. Little did we know we were at the end of the rainbow. Inside this tent were four leprechans, or cast members. There was Kevin, Meredith, Angela and Andy Bernard. You had to have a ticket to meet them, but we pushed forward anyway. Unfortunately once we got to the front of the line Meredith and Kevin left. But lucky for us Jan, Phyllis and Bob Vance of Vance refrigeration showed up. So not only did we get an awesome autograph but we scored these sweet pictures.

After the fun with our newfound friends, McKay and Mia decided they were going to have their own little fun. And that is when the puddle splashing began.

Next we were off to find the Welcome to Scranton sign that is shown on the opening credits. This sign is no longer on the side of the road due to the accidents that were caused as drivers slowed down to view it. We decided the next place to look for the sign would be the food court in the mall, and sure enough, there it was.

Although there were many places we were not able to visit, the Shrute beet farm, Poor Richard's Pub, Hooters, Chili's, the booze cruise, and many others, we were well pleased with how our trip turned out. And just to think, 368 more days until the next Office Convention. So until then, remember, in Scranton, everything moves a little slower.
