Say hey to Dalley Mae!

My sister Nikki & her husband Jordan (pictured here) had their B-A-B-Y yesterday! Nikki is the youngest of the Jones sisters and the one to prove once & for all that we really do all experience childbirth the same way: short & sweet (okay, mabye not so sweet - is it ever really sweet?). I am currently holding the longest labor record at around an hour. Doni, who is just younger than I am, holds the record for the shortest labor that had better not be broken as she delivered (no joke) in the toilet after a race to the hospital. Nikki hit a happy medium at 20 minutes of labor. She worked all day, went home at 3, had some contractions, and then went over to her mother in-laws for some company. She had planned on a home birth with a midwife, but alas, her mother-in-law ended up delivering the baby as it just came too quickly. Now would your mother-in-law be ready for that? The healthy, 6-lb., 18 inch long baby was named Dalley, which I am told is a horse or bridle term as Nikki has now been converted to cowboyism. Congratulations Nikki!!!

Congrats to your beautiful sister Nikki!! I had Trevor in an hour and a half and it was scary! I can't believe she had the baby so quickly (and your other sister in the toilet). What a fun story to tell!
